The Cultural Enrichment at St. Ilija is devoted to maintaining intimate connection to our Macedonian Orthodox heritage; our faith and culture. This responsibility is particularly important for the upbringing of our younger generations, who face obstacles of learning their native Macedonian language in an English-speaking environment. Our Macedonian Orthodox Civilization is reach with music, art, poetry, history, sports, holidays, etc.

Immersing our young members in this cultural richness is challenging due in big part to the limited opportunity for them to practice and live it daily.  Great effort and leadership have required on behalf of our elders and community to sustain and build upon our ancestors’ achievements. Much gratitude goes to generations of tireless leaders and members of St. Ilija Macedonian Orthodox Church for keeping our faith and heritage alive so we can pass it on to our children and grandchildren.
